AVMA-Accredited Program

The Vet Tech Institute at International Business College's veterinary technology program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA) of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Graduates of the Vet Tech Institute of International Business College's veterinary technology program are eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam, which is one of the steps required to become a registered veterinary technician. Achieving this certification is important to employers and will allow you to provide additional care to animals.  

International Business College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (www.acics.org) to award certificates, diplomas and associate degrees. International Business College is also fully accredited by the Indiana Board for Proprietary Education. 

International Business College is a private school incorporated under the laws of the State of Indiana June 10, 1901, and is authorized to award certificates, diplomas, associate degrees, and bachelor’s degrees in the field of business and related areas. 

Any student who has a complaint relating to Title IV eligibility or administration, the quality of education received, or otherwise relating to the accreditation standards of Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools can submit a complaint to International Business College and/or to any of the following:  the U.S. Department of Education's Student Complaint website at www.ed.gov; the Board for Proprietary Education, Indiana Commission for Higher Education, 101 West Ohio Street, Suite 300, Indianapolis, IN  46204-4206; or the Office of the Indiana Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division, Government Center South, 5th Floor, 302 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN  46204.  The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is currently not recognized as an accreditor by the U.S. Department of Education.  International Business College has until June 12, 2018 to become accredited by a recognized accreditor or the institution no longer will be eligibile to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs.
